New reports sweep across Tel Vinrae.
Rough numbers have been estimated from the Academy on this illness called The Ashening.
Nearly 1,000 people are claimed to have died from this illness with Drow and Eladrin being in the 90% of victims.
The Ashening has now been categorized as an Epidemic. Bodies of the victims are being carted out of homes and temples and taken to be buried and cremated. The city remains on lockdown.
The Afflicted that are taken to holy sites such as temples and shrines seem to be degrading in their illness slower than those remaining in home. However, with this revelation, temples and shrines seem to have filled up quickly. Rooms for the sick and dying are cramped, spilling out into the grounds around the facilities.
The Silver Palace has closed, the Afflicted Eladrin and Drow can be seen laying under the trees of the Darkwood Sanctum on bedrolls with blankets pulled around them. Rumours sweep that House Diarath has become incapacitated. The few that have not been counted among the sick or dead are said to be tending the many Afflicted throughout the Palace and Courtyards.

At this point, the known healer 'Ulrich Rockfang' is working with the temples directly, using his impressive medical skills to help formulate theories on certain magical spells and optimal long term care to help people fight off the disease. 'It may be malevolent, but at it's core, th'virus is still just that... th'key's 'bout makin' the body strong ta fight it off.'
He's a known medic... with some ability in magics... and an eccentric take on the world. Despite walking about barefoot, his natural talent with medicine, both conventional and unconventional seem to be of major use, possibly teaching the templebound a thing or two about how to help treat folk... but at the same time learning about what he can to improve his own skills -- the odd dwarf is there to help, using what he can to get people healthy again, one step at a time.

Meanwhile Saraswati has been out and about in the poor areas and also in the temple grounds helping out as best she can, trying to help the afflicted fight off the illness, treating any secondary symptoms, and making them comfortable - sometimes seen consulting, sometimes with the odd argument, with Rockfang about treatments.

One of the infected lays around the shrine of the first. Faeeniel, The favored of Darcastiel, completely blind, clutches on to her holy symbol with what little strength she has left, and prays for an answer, or guidance. Praying that he lifts the binds on the people that the illness is effecting.

Devon Sunderoak has been seen about the city with a supply wagon and a contingent of his family's black and green clad men at arms, supervising the distribution of food and water rations, blankets, and medical supplies to the various temples.
Even the temple of the Imperial Creed.
Some wonder where the Sunderoaks are getting these supplies, as they too are subject to the quarantine.
Others realize that the Omicron family must be emptying their own guardhouse's store room in order to contribute this much.
Mighty in war, and joyful in peace, and generous to the afflicted; current events suggest the family of western nobility have every intention of maintaining their legendary reputation as strong, just, and compassionate rulers.

Spica has been spending the time trying to find a cure in the Library, or even a clue. Clues to a cure or clues to the locations of other libraries, even older libraries. It seems that the task may be taking it's toll. Lack of sleep perhaps, and there seems to be an ever increasing desperation to to find a solution.
