Rumors circulate around the stadium. Last night a gauntlet of sorts was held, hosted by the Eladrin. A group of brave, or incredibly stupid adventurers accepted the challenge. The mercenary Rudra, the follower of Darcastiel, the two followers of The Rebel known to most as Bal and Zeke, and finally the priestess of the iron maiden. They all lasted two rounds. After which the mercenary decided to sit out. The rest of the group finished all four rounds. People say that the last round was a chimera! Surely they did not fight such a thing? However the group is now richer for their efforts.

A warrior named Rudra Alrota was cheered when he seemed to one shot a large wolf with ease. At the second round a minotaur gored him but that didn't stop him from finishing the beast. After his heavy wound he smirked and said it was time to step aside while the rest of his companions decided they wanted to keep going. He watched and cheered from the stands like everyone else at that point.

At the end of it, the orc who fought with them seemed ready to keep going, almost in a trance before his body gave out, the large man dropping and having to be helped to the Brass Gazelle, where the warriors were given a room for the night for their participation and victory... however, what stood out was that when accused of greed, the survivors spoke back, speaking not of wanting glory or gold, but of protecting each other...
...of course if they had all left the battle beforehand, battling the chimera would have been a non-issue... it's curious why they stayed then...
