Something amazing has happened to the reef

The Academy philosophers that went to check the reef to see what influence the unexpected icing had done and basically they were dumbfounded.
"We were expecting to see a whole lot of damage caused by the cold but there's none. If anything the reef is more vibrant and full of life than before. I ... have no idea how this could have happened. To make things really wierd, it looks like some of the reefs have actually shifted position and got bigger - there are more bits of reef than there used to be".
One philosopher even went as far to suggest that "it looked like the reefs had been laid out to some sort of plan" and suspected that the local merfolk may have had a hand in it - even though there was no evidence or previous records of the merfolk doing things to the reef this close to Coral Beach. One person claimed he may have seen a gold tailed merperson in the area but he/she was gone before they could get a good look.
As Saraswati listens to the rumours she says nothing but smiles.
