Muscle Explosion and Bugbears?

Rumors circulate as soulless fill the dead-man's knot. A street performer was apparently using magic to build up his muscles and strength. Demonstrating this by picking up items and dropping them. Normally heavy items...as if they were nothing. In attendance was Captain Pearl, and an elven friend of hers who she called Shona. After awhile of watching the performance, the captain was quick to notice something not right about the performer and so she started urging the on lookers away, pushing them if need be, to safety. The man's flesh started to rip and tear, and suddenly a creature was standing there, speaking in some sort of language. The beast was quickly dispatched by a well shot arrow from the elf fellow, and a few good slices with the Captain's short sword. Captain Pearl said that it was a bug bear, and that it was strange to see one here, since they are usually to the norther, and no where around the city...Then as the soulless arrived the usually calm captain lost her shit and ran away.
