The ice berg has gone, the ice has thawed, and people are experiencing warmer temperatures. Life was returning to normal. Except for one of the heroes of that couragous battle. Captain Pearl. The Captain acts as if nothing happened or that never fought for the lives of the citizens, and the very city it's self. In fact very little seems to have changed for the captain at all. Rumors say that at the crack of dawn, Captain Pearl was awakening the sailors and moving to get the first catch of the morning, filling the nets, returning to dock, and sorting the fish. The crew men however, had more respect for their captain. They thought their captain was a hero...and they would be right.
Except one thing was different, it was something big...the captain came back missing a body part. Now a lot of people would assume that a hand was lost, or that the captain was made lame in the battle...but this is not the case, instead, the captain lost one of her eyes. Where it once was, was now a thick eye patch. The captain should have been bitter, or angry, or callous towards her sailors...but no, She carried on like she did every morning.
(I was trying to disguise her gender since at first glance it's not easily known if shes a man or a woman...but I couldn't do it all lol)

The resident "Guardian Ghost" of the surrounding countryside, a little known elf of numerical name was also in attendance for the grand battle. Rumor has it that prior to the battle, he loaded on on many fey combative pieces of gear and had even loaned pieces of said gear to fellow adventurers and heroes of the city prior to venturing forth to combat the winter scourge within her domain.
After the battle was finished, it was said that he was seen surveying the remains of the beachfront. A watchful guardian through most of the night and gone by the first rays of dawn. His "hero" status, rather then inflate heads as some might among the gathering, seems to have driven the pale elf further into seclusion from the populous at large with only fleeting glances and quick departures when thanks are given to him.
It would seem not all heroes find the limelight and center of attention to their likings.
