Last night, cold weather moved in with ominous clouds, bringing a slow rain to the city of Tel Vinrae. Today, just before mid-day, it began to snow. While the original estimates were for it to continue into tonight, new forecasts by survivalists throughout the city are suggesting the weather will continue for a few days at this temperature. Heavy, wet, large flakes of white fall over the city and the surrounding lands. While it is not expected to last for many days after the weather breaks, there is likely to be accumulation throughout the cities.
In a remarkable feat of ingenuity, the Brass Stones upon the ground throughout Residential District, Golden Way and the Gentile District seem to be heating up. Because of the radiant heat they provide, the walkways throughout those districts are being kept clear of the snow and remain a warmer surface for people within the city to walk through, making travel in those districts comfortable, if a little wet. The marvelous city of Tel Vinrae once again shows its ingenuity and class within its grander districts with this amazing feat of preparedness for such weather. Some say this is accomplished through magic - some ritual being performed in the city that allows the heat to be generated in these specific areas - while others suspect a more Scientific approach, similar to that of the Soulless. Whatever the case, citizens within those districts are happy to see their streets clear of the falling snow.
In the Canals District, boats are overturned and kept from accumulating snow in their bodies until the tides rise and the districts flood times begin in the evenings. While the snow accumulates on the ground during the day, it is quickly washed away by the flood of ocean waters in the evenings. Throughout Deadmans Knot, people work to keep their property and streets clear of snow on their own, using old fashion manual labor of shovels and sweeps to lessen the chances of roofs collapsing or similar issues as the snows slowly begin to pile up.
((OOC: For the remainder of the week and coming weekend, snowfall will continue. DM's will include snowy conditions in their storylines for the next few days. Enjoy a bit of winter in Tel-Vinrae!))
