Overview of Faith: Son of Maendrol and Shaedrieal, twin brother of Velathrariel is a figure important to Elven culture, representing both the innate desire for freedom and the occasional need to rise up against oppression - even when that oppression comes from their own people. In faekin mythology, he is in conflict with his father, despite his love for him, and encourages his followers people to cast away any law that oppress their own desires - and to ensure that their desires do not oppress others. His clergy, while seen as troublemakers at best (and dangerous insurgents at worst) still serve an important role in the Elven culture; they remind their lords to show temperance because they too are oppressed. The cults of Darcastiel are said to be allied with the Omicron, emphatic of their cause although some argue that, as the religion is based primarily in the Western Kingdoms, it is more a matter of politics.
