(Since Adele asked for a thread detailing Halloween costumes people were wearing IC, figured I'd make it. Figured here is the best place for it.)
Let it not be said that Trishna Vidya forsook her culture. Tonight, she looked every bit the Akosh, clad in flowing black skirts that had silver silver and a matching top that bore her midriff. Various sashes of scarlet silk draped over her lithe form. Her normally caramel complexion was hidden away by ebon body paint and were crimson markings upon her exposed torso. Text in Draconic with various words and phrases; things like 'Immortality', 'Revelation', 'Knowledge', and 'Liberation'. Words of empowerment, perhaps? Her ebon hair had silver streaks in it and she wore a long hooded cloak the draped behind her. It resembled the night sky, inky black with various celestial designed embroidered into it as if she draped herself in the cosmos itself. The most intricate part of her costume was the mask she wore that covered her face. It resembled a stylized human skull and had intricate engravings, spiraling text in two different scripts. One was Draconic but the other was strange with various geometrical shapes. It was obvious that the costume meant something on a personal level, some deep esoteric meaning surrounding the various elements but of course that wouldn't win her any contests. Yet did she wear it for that purpose or for herself?

Spica had spent a lot of time on her outfit and had planned it as a surprise, even though some of the people she had been expecting hadn't shown up. She had also sought professional help to make it a reality.
She was in an chair mounted on a platform which had wheels on so she could either use her hands to turn the large back wheels or someone else could push her around. So why was she in an improvised wheelchair? Because she had come as a mermaid, and her tail design did not allow walking ... or even standing up without faceplanting into the ground. Maybe this was a ploy to avoid having to dance, if asked.
She was wearing a scaly dark blue breastband and from the waist down, her hips, legs and feet were encased in a tight, formfitting, dark blue scaly patterned tail. The ensemble looked more appropriate to be swum in rather than be on land.
As well as her ever present glasses, she also wore a pendant on a fine chain as a necklace, The pendant was black with white shiny flecks representing the stars and two moon pearls, one small and rose coloured, the other larger and white. Those that know these things would realise that the pendant accurately depicted the positions of the moons against the starry background at the time that the 'wishing star' appeared in the evening sky. Even the pearls had been etched with the markings on both moons. The only liberty Spica had made, was that the moons were depicted as full, instead of the crescents that they had been that evening. As a final touch, she had made some aqua coloured pretty prisms, and had rubbed them into her long blonde hair to add a sea coloured tint to it.

Corellon had only spent a little time on his outfit, and with a little help from Spica, had made it come to pass...some blonde hair dye, a little bit of makeup, a pair of spectacles, and some of Spica's clothing, and he made a very convincing Spica. The major difference was the pale stage makeup and blush and lipstick, pointed ears, and a bit more padding in the bust line. Some people thought all elves looked like women, and he played on that fact, using makeup to accentuate his more feminine attributes.
