General knowledge (non wilderness pc IC Knowledge) of the Southern Nation's Fae court.
Those that are not actual members of the Southern Nations Fae or Druidic Court are privy only to the rumours and mysteries that surround it. These stories range from dark and terrible giants that roam the forest dishing out punishment for a mad Fairy queen, the trickster fairies that live in the woods and tempt both man and woman into traps laid by primitive cannibals that them sacrifice to their cruel gods and eat the remains, others still tell of the kind generosity to weary travellers through the forest when they reach hard times and still yet there are tales of packs of wild things attacking those same travellers. The only thing agreed upon by everyone outside of the nature court is that is is truly as wild as the places it calls home.
General Knowledge (Wilderness PCs Only) of the Fae Courts
In the Miliera setting, there are four Faerie Courts, however two main categories of Faeries: Seelie and Unseely. Seelie are typically benevolent Fae, or what most consider the playful faerie with good intentions. Summer and Spring are the two Courts that benevolent faeries are found within. The Unseelie, often known as Darkfae, are malevolent faeries that belong to the Winter and Autumn Courts. These Faeries are known for their trickery and violence.
Each Faerie court is held within a forest of Mileria. The Summer Court is found within Eastern Nation – close to the deserts and coasts of Astabar Bay. The forests of the Western Nation is where the Spring Court is located. The Northern Nation once held the Winter Court, however after the Empire settled the forest, they relocated to the forest just west of the Northern Nation – the Deadwood Forest. This court is also thought to be the weakest, as their current realm is being destroyed for the Empire's expansion. The Southern Nation holds the Autumn Court. Thought to be one the most powerful Courts within Faerie Society, they host all of the gatherings.
The Faerie Court oppose each other, being composed of Seelie and Unseelie. Spring opposes Autumn, where Summer opposes Winter. Those of opposing courts will typically go to any means necessary to destroy each other on sight. For example – Summer and Winter are both extremes, and are some of the most unpredictable and dangerous of the faeries, where Autumn and Spring are more neutral. However, Autumn, or the Court of Daesha-Rau is the most powerful court because their forests are still free due to the relationship between the Southern Nation and Tel Vinrae. Daesha-Rau is also the only Queen to be Eladrin - many Fae worship her, and consider her to be a true Goddess walking amongst them. The Winter Court, or the Court of Embrae-Min, is always at Daesha-Rau's mercy being aligned courts and also the most damaged forest in Mileria. Jastra-Ine is the Queen of the Summer Court, and she is very stubborn – her patience long but her pride begrudging. Laerdya-Aer controls the Court of Spring, and though she suits her aspect, she is wise and strives for balance between the Courts. Twice a year, all four of the Courts come together to host a feast, tournaments, and games with much song and dance. This is time when Nature brings unity. Samhain Feast (Oct. 30-Nov. 1) and Beltane (Apr .31-May 2nd)
