Found somewhere in the sewers of the city is a tavern and restaurant of no comparison. Owned by the Eccentric Lavendar Craydon, it is a conception of his own mind, and therefore takes a bit to get used to.
The entrance into the tavern is a simple door, painted a brilliant purple, the edges glowing faintly in the evening. This door stands freely in the center of a space between buildings, unattached to any structures or even a wall….. just the door. When entered, the scene within is one of seeming chaos, the floor is of a pitch black, with small pinpoints of light. If you were to perceive it just the right way, you could even make out what appeared to be constellations, even a shooting star…. They even moved as the night progressed, as the stars above would travel across the sky throughout the night. The high roof is similar to that of a forest floor, the trees reaching down around the edges, almost within grasp of any patrons who thought to reach up for them. Tables and chairs has no feet, no means of supporting themselves against gravity, but yet, there they were, nothing more than a sheet of stone elevated from the floor as a table, and a number of floating cushions surrounding it.
Upon each table was a small, floating flame, illuminating the table without source. There was a stage upon each of the walls, and from one side of the tavern, you could hear nothing of the stage upon the opposite. There was no bar, no barkeep, just wall to wall elevated tables and similar cushions. Upon each table is a stack of cards with pictures and names of the available food and drink. These cards are bound to the table and if removed, returned to their stacked position.
The servers move about the place exceedingly quick, faster than would be considered typical. Though they moves rapidly from one place to the next, they are considerably courteous and patient. The quality of food is marginal at best, the drink ranks poor to decent, a bit more coin will get you better quality drink, but asking for an ale….. gets you an ale.
