"There are eyes that see but say nothing at all There are ears that hear but they don't recall In this city of ours..." New Model Army - The Hunt Knowledge, they said, was power. Power, they said, corrupt. If both maxims are equally true could knowledge be a dangerous thing to the seekers of truth? That was a question that was often debated by philosophers and theologians. The entire concept of forbidden knowledge is based upon the idea that there were things in the cosmos that no man should know. Yet what qualifies as forbidden knowledge? Taboo ritual? The understanding of the profane? Or is the only forbidden knowledge that which is dangerous to know? The Akosh woman who did not get flung across the Golden Way and impaled on the banister of the Fiery Lion was seen wandering about the city today. At first, he entered the Deadman's Knot where she seemed to meet up with some friends and then later she headed towards the Fiery Lion with those said acquaintances. What happened was nothing out of the ordinary. Yet at the same time there was a strange sort of tension about the woman. While she never lost the confidence she always seemed to have she seemed to keep a careful eye on the shadows. Why? Well, sometimes its a bad idea to ask. And other times, its a worse idea to know.

Knowledge, they say, is a dangerous thing. Some philosophers - or conspiracists - would claim that not all knowledge is meant to be known... that some knowledge can drive one to complete madness, never to return from the abyss of their mind.
Eyes watch her - though she can never find those that watch her... But she knows she's being watched... or is she?
Knowledge is Power, Knowledge is Salvation... But is some instances, Knowledge is a Lie.
In some instances, Knowledge can be the Death of you. (XP Awarded)

Yet others would argue that having knowledge also allows understanding - because it is ignorance that causes fear. Besides, without the truth that knowledge brings, other ideas that claim to be 'true' emerge which gets in the way of understanding.
At least that's a certain arcanist's thinking .... but even she has secrets.
