If anyone was wondering where Spica was in the last twenty fours hours or so, she's back in the Academy after a rather interesting field trip. "There was a total lunar eclipse last night but, since it couldn't be seen from Tel Vinrae as the full moon set before totality started, a few of us were translocated across the continent to a preassigned spot to make observations and take records. I was basically assisting one of the senior divinators. I'm not sure exactly where we were but we were higher in latitude from Tel Vinrae and several hundred miles to the west. The sky was partially cloudy where we were and we could see the moon rise bright at the beginning on the local night .... about 3am TV time. Unfortunately, as the moon got higher in the sky the clouds got thicker and thicker so we were forced to get what we could through gaps. The shadow of our planet started to cross the moon at around half six TV time and an hour later the moon looked rather dark and obscured. It also had a tinge of red and I was able to record these images through gaps in the cloud bank. The clouds however got thicker and thicker so we finally called it quits about an hour or so later and headed back to TV. If anyone is interested, I'll be giving a public lecture at the Academy about eclipses and what we saw. Times to be posted."
