Merchant/Foreign Houses (Minor Influence): No Stipends or However, they have access to areas that would be typically considered 'off-limits', such as the Darkwood Sanctum. Also, they are welcome in the Brass Gazelle, without question. Also, they have access In Character to discounts through the shoppes - the have respect, no real status within the city. Discount: 5-10% within their own trade market, depending on status of family.
Noble Houses (Position-Holders on the Council of Baraldamere): Stipends, originally came from Taxation - which Tel Vinrae doesn't have taxation laws - the Empire does. They have respect In Character. They aren't locals, though have good relations with the Eladrin and Outlanders alike. They reside in a Grandhouse within the Gentile District. They gain a gear discount of 5%, though the gear is branded with the House sigils (IE: Shields have the house Crest on them, Armor have is across the chest plate or include a cape in the house colors, etc.
Eladrin High Houses ('True Nobility'): These Eladrin are part of the oldest families amongst their society - houses that are respected and revered for their area of expertise. These houses work together to better the city, and their society. The heads of their families make up the Eladrin Council of Eleven, who rule on their private society's changes as well as Tel Vinrae's with the rest of the Council of Baraldamere. The Eladrin nobles are protectors of their people (or sometimes they are the antagonists). They have access to the command codes for the Soulless, which means they are in charge of them, in a sense. They live in the largest Grandhouses in the Gentile District - as well as have rooms within the Silver Palace and restricted access to special rooms (Access to Library, Observatory, Training Grounds, Darkwood Sanctum). They gain a gear discount of 10%, though the gear is branded with the House sigils (IE: Shields have the house Crest on them, Armor have is across the chest plate or include a cape in the house colors, etc.
Additional Levels of Aristocrat gain nothing. You take it for your PC's soul benefit.
