The storm that brought thunder and wind to Tel Vinrae brought a prophetic meaning to the words spoken in the Drunken Selkie last week, spoken by a young man; "Evil is coming to Tel Vinrae."
A party of recruits of the Charred Sigel went out on a boat hired to recover a crate being delivered that was late in docking.
Sailors spoke in frightful whispers what they witnessed. The dead rising to walk again among the living! But who was responsible for this most heinous deed? Hadn't the rogue teacher at the Academy already been dealt with?
Was this the work of the meddling outsiders, or were the Eladrin finally starting to lose their grip and slip into decay?

There are whispers on the return that some where infected, that some of the crew might become twisted abominations or worse yet... that the entire voyage was simply a way to ship evil into the city. The more knowledgeable scoff at these notions... yet the fact that a ranking member of the Charred Sigils Mercenary Company who travelled with them was being tended to by a follower of Shaedrieal who was also injured has people wondering what exactly happened while the members of the Charred Sigils were away.
